Side Stage setup too far from Main Stage
The lineup of 5 stars was great. The best to worst rated as follows: 1. Offspring - naturally 2. The Struts- these guys will make it big. The same feeling as when I saw the Police on their first US tour (1977) 3. AWOL- The issue here was leaving the Offspring set and rushing to the side stage and squeezing through to get closer 4. Nothing But Thieves- I wish they had been on the side stage so I could have been closer to the stage. And to those who only pay attention to the radio hits, if you come to the show, get into it or move out of the way. 5. Cage the Elephant 6. Blue October 7. Fitz & Tantrums 8. Toadies, the others. I was somewhat let down by Big Data.
It was a 5-star lineup, but it's disappointing that you can't see every band. If the side stage is going to be completely separate from the main stage, there should be a 10-minute break between acts so you can move from one to the other. I prefer the Edgefest in Frisco setup where the stages are at opposite ends of the field, allowing you to see and hear all the acts. The only issue there is that the sound system is not as good as at the Pavilion.
